SuBo set for Ugly Betty?

Unlikely story alert! Yes, according to The Sun, Britain’s Got Talent star/albatross Susan Boyle is set to make a cameo appearance in hit US telly import Ugly Betty.

Although she’s not known for her acting skills or even her ease in front of TV cameras, apparently the troubled star with the golden voice was offered a part in the show a month ago.

"Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen,” said a source close to SuBo. "She will definitely play herself."

Well, it could happen – the show, which has just started its third season over here, has previously had cameos from Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell and, um, Gene Simmons, so the Hairy Angel would be in good company.

Her management were keeping tight-lipped about the offer. "Susan has many offers on the table,” boasted her spokesperson. “At the moment she is looking forward to recording her album."

Hmmm, after that time in the Priory, we don’t think she should overstretch herself… Maybe Diversity could play her instead?
